Club Introduction

The Victorian All Terrain Club was formed back in 1992 as an active Mornington based 4wd club but folded shortly after, due to members other business commitments. It was reformed officially in august 1998 by a small group of keen 4 wheel drivers with a mission to bring together an active group of people with similar interests.

The main focus of the club is 4wding with the politics kept to a bare minimum.

The club is very active and family oriented, with currently over 40 memberships from all over Victoria. (i.e. Lilydale, Mornington, Keilor and Moe) We run regular trips (Day & Weekend) to the Victorian High Country, local areas and some extended trips throughout Australia. We are involved in the V.A.F.W.D.C. activities, including collecting aluminium cans from Woods Point as part of the Bush Can Plan which helps raise money for the community of Woods Point. We have quite a few members who help out or compete in inter-club events. We also have our own annual club navigation rally which aims at teaching the members the finer points of navigation.

At our monthly meetings we try to incorporate demo nights and guest speakers, such as First Aiders and 4WD businesses. We have the occasional social function, such as bowling, drive-in nights etc with an annual trip which involves nearly all members and their families. Members vehicles include near standard Hilux's, Landcruiser's, Patrols and also highly modified purpose built 4WD’s that will handle any situation encountered, so our trips vary from beginner to serious offroading..
